Appliances are some of the heaviest, most awkward things in any home — and some of the easiest to damage or get hurt by. A refrigerator can top 300 pounds, a washer is a back-breaker on stairs, and dragging any of them across a floor leaves marks. Playhouse Moving moves appliances with the right dollies, straps, and technique so they get where they're going without damage to the unit, your home, or anyone's spine.

Appliances we move

Refrigerators and freezers, washers and dryers, ranges and ovens, dishwashers, and large freestanding units. Whether you're relocating appliances as part of a full move, moving a single unit to a new place, or bringing home a new appliance that needs hauling upstairs, we've got the equipment and the crew to do it safely.

The right equipment matters

Moving a fridge or washer isn't a job for a couple of friends and a hand truck from the garage. We use appliance dollies, straps, and floor protection to move heavy units up stairs, around tight corners, and through doorways without gouging floors or denting the appliance. Proper technique is what keeps these moves damage-free.

Disconnect and safety notes

For safety, appliances that connect to gas, water, or dedicated electrical should be disconnected before we arrive — gas dryers, plumbed refrigerators with ice makers, and similar. We're glad to move them once they're disconnected, but we don't perform gas or plumbing disconnection ourselves. We'll walk you through what needs to be ready when you book.

Single appliance or a whole kitchen

Need just a refrigerator moved across town? Or relocating every appliance in the house as part of a move? Either works. A single appliance is usually a quick hourly job covered by our minimum, while a full set is folded into your larger move. Tell us what you've got and the access on both ends, and we'll quote it straight.
